Maybe it's just me because the measurements are listed but based on the photos I thought it would be a lot bigger than what I received. Bought this to house my 2 year old son's small collection of plastic dinosaurs. They came in a tube and it's almost impossible to return them in the same form they were originally packaged in. It does the job I wanted and my son loves the playmat scene. It's big enough for my little one, but I agree with other reviewers that you might need a larger size for an older child. I also agree that velcro to hold the lid in place would be a huge help. My complaint is that it doesn't lay flat when open.
