Necoichi Handcrafted Kimono Ribbon Cat Collar Review

I really liked this collar at first. Such a cute unique style and perfect for my little cat. After a few days I noticed some fraying, now after 11 days it's completely resolved. I'm not sure if mine was defective or if some stitches were missing. Anyway, this is very disappointing.

Very nice collar but keeps falling off my cats. These collars are quite expensive and I thought they would hold up better. I spent half as much on a collar that lasted a year with no problems opening. I went ahead and got mine back. It's a shame because it's a really adorable collar. If you have a very quiet cat that doesn't fit into anything, maybe you can do it. I don't know how well the material will hold up as I only had mine a few days before returning it.

Perhaps this is the cutest collar I have come across. Beautifully made and built. It's great for our house kitty (who so secretly needs a ringer to let us know where it is). UPDATE - As mentioned above I have a kitten and while this collar is GORGEOUS he was able to tear it apart. after two days he can bite the end of the bow. I'll try again when he's a bit older, or maybe just to "dress up" for special occasions. Maybe a good collar for a less curious and agile animal?

I love this collar. I removed the bell but left the tag loop. I noticed that not only does this fit my cat, but it doesn't scratch his neck like a regular collar you can find at a pet store. The lining that rests on the cat fur is a softer felt/velvet material. The only downside is that a lot of her hair ends up on this side, so I try to brush it off. I was so excited to receive this kimono cat collar. It looked so adorable in the photos. I was disappointed that it wasn't just kimono fabrics that were beautifully sewn together like real authentic kimono pieces I've seen in real Japanese shops. First of all I have to say that these collars are VERY well made. As a hobby costumer (including authentic kimonos!) I recognize good quality immediately. They have plastic clip clasps that WORK with extra pressure (so the kitty is secure if they get caught), the bow is sewn on and the bow also has a nice felt to help it hold its shape. Remember, no matter how well made something is, it doesn't mean it's cat-proof! Even leather sofas don't tolerate cat's claws! I wouldn't say these are collars…
