This works great with our HTC Vive virtual reality base stations. We raise them to the ideal height and no permanent installation is required. We were able to adjust the positions of the tripods to maximize our space without being limited to where we could screw them to a wall or beam. Very flexible!

I use this for my VR Cameras for my HTC Vive, note the left and right pivoting movement is on some sort of ball joint. So if your camera isn't perfectly level, it will tend to "float" above you, otherwise you'll be moving very slowly and easily. No problem with normal cameras, but with VR camera. Well, it can cause you to drop it more often or get dizzy at times while playing. I would buy again just because they are so cheap and other coasters easily cost twice as much.

Extremely disappointed. The mechanism for releasing the legs is so poorly designed that if they are loosened as little as possible, the handle and washer will fall apart, resulting in bits and pieces flying everywhere. Then, in five minutes, one of the legs literally bent just trying to fully seat everything. Plastic splinters rained down. I bought the heavy version thinking it would be more premium. If you're looking for a simple and easy-to-use, durable lighting stand, this isn't it.

I bought these to use with my HTC Vive and they are perfect for that use. Pros: They are very high. For the Vive, they had to be 6 1/2 feet tall, and they easily exceed that. They are light, which makes it easy to transport. The supplied swivel adapters make a well-made impression. Cons: Not for me personally, but I can't imagine them holding much weight. For example I would never use it on a camera - a DSLR with a long lens would probably break the stands. I wish they came with a tote bag but…

Works as described. Perfect fit for my HTC Vive base stations which of course solved the problem of wall mounting as well as damaging the wall which I've wanted to avoid since renting it. I can't say too much about them other than that they really serve my purpose, and if they're used to attach jigs I'm sure they will serve that purpose too.
