More accurate than competing models that look the same

There are several similar timers on the market but in my experience they work differently. This is once again much more accurate than another brand I have used. Careful measurements show that it runs slower in 1 part in 600 (i.e. loses 1 second in 10 minutes) and this is not affected by temperature (I tested at room temperature and freezing). Some competing products are very temperature sensitive and less accurate. I think the 1/600th error in this case is probably a software bug and not…

It's ok could be better

It has a good solid cable and I like the timer and the LCD screen but. If I had to do it again I wouldn't buy this but would buy mc-dc2. The main downside to this is that when you pull the plug out of the chamber, the metal shell detaches from the plug and remains in your chamber. I tried to fix it 4 times and did everything but I used super glue and the metal shell stayed in the chamber. So I just took the metal shell off. I just have to remember that the little arrow on the connector is…

Inexpensive and quality shutter cable

I wasn't expecting much as this is a 3rd party brand but I'm getting exactly the results I was hoping for experimenting with long exposure photography and shutter release technology. It's easy to use and works great. I bought if for D90, inherited from my father and it works on my D7200 too. I've had him for over a year now. I would recommend this shutter cable to anyone who doesn't mind buying 3rd party accessories. I will also use this to take portraits or other time sensitive shots where…

Great product but could be better!

I bought this remote control to use with my D7000 on a recent trip to Walt Disney World to try my hand at fireworks photography. The remote control worked flawlessly, allowing me to take long exposures without touching the camera. The controls are incredibly simple and easy to understand. In fact, I figured out almost everything without even looking at the manual, within minutes of putting the batteries in the remote (two AAA batteries for those wondering). The only reason I had to look at the…

Powered by Nikon D5100

Very pleased with the features of this relatively inexpensive device. There is no switch but the instructions give an estimated run time of around 2 months from a set of 2 AAA batteries. I can easily remove the batteries when I'm not using the camera to save battery life. The trigger connects to the GPS connector on the side of the camera. The display is backlit, which is a good thing since you'll likely be using this device at night. There are several control modes; Interval, timer and manual…

Excellent management at a low price

I often shoot with remote controls and this little device really expands the possibilities compared to wireless or basic push button remotes. This gives you the ability to take many consecutive shots with quick settings and control over: - the number of shots - the time between shots - the length of each shot (assuming you take slow shutter speeds) The record duration feature requires your camera to be in manual mode be. . I've recently taken several multi-minute exposures of light painting at…
