This product does exactly what it is supposed to do. Yes, assembly is not easy, but not very difficult either. This diffuser works simply and is inexpensive.

yes the softbox is a bit difficult to assemble but I only had to assemble it once. then i just hung them on the wall like the rest of the softboxes. So if you have the space to put it somewhere already assembled, don't worry about it for now. The light quality is on par with top-end softboxes, and at this price point, what are you waiting for?

I will definitely use this octagonal speedlite flash soft box all the time and never throw it in the corner. The official Bowens mount is said to fit most flashes, but I only own a Nikon so I can guarantee my flash will be safe. The jumpsuit is very light and easy to put on. The brightness depends on the lighting, but this softbox can soften light of any intensity.

I have used several softboxes over the years and bought these Neewer 30" Bowens mounts to use with certain lights. There are no instructions in the box but I found a couple of youtube videos that helped. Most softboxes are intuitive to set up, but the Neewer octagons were not at all. Yes, assembly is worthwhile. Yes, build wise it's like something IKEA and I've used it time and time again with a Bowers S mount in combination with a couple of Nikon flashes, although I usually attach it to a Wescott 200ws studio flash. The dual screen diffuses and softens the light for portraits. I don't know how to describe how well it works other than to say that if someone stole it I would buy it again. The Neewer 30x30 Softbox exceeded my expectations. I find that the light has a very pleasant softness due to the double diffusion. I tried it as soon as I received it and for $40 it's a very good deal. It appears to be well built and I love that it comes with a Bowens mount. (I personally don't like the type that just slides over a mounting ring and stays in place thanks to its own spring). I don't know how durable it will be but it looks like it will hold up well for me. I'm just an amateur so
