Speeds are as advertised but are "sensitive "

EDIT: NekTeck contacted me after they posted their review and reminded me the cable was covered by a replacement warranty and immediately sent me a replacement. After about 5 days of testing, this cable is much more stable during use and doesn't lose connection when I move the laptop around my desk (sometimes I close it and put it on a vertical stand to use it with a monitor). I have upgraded my rating to 5 stars because the cable works as expected AND I appreciate the level of service I…

Great quality even better price

It's hard to find a genuine Geniune high speed Thunderbolt3 cable at a great price. The price for this is great, and it's 6 feet long for the price of a 2 foot cable. It also charges your laptop! Finding a long 40Gbps Thunderbolt3 cable is expensive, but this cable is expensive and the quality is top notch. I use mine to connect a set of 4 external hard drives to my computer. It's seamless and looks like the drives are connected directly to my motherboard.

Works best among Computer Accessories and Peripherals

I was wary of spending $60 on a cable but given the amount of money I had already spent on my MacBook Pro and mine eGPU, I figured why not. The cable is very fast (MBP 2018 -> Razer eGPU with RTX 2070). I can now run my VM (and all regular non-VR games) at max settings from my laptop with the eGPU, which is pretty incredible. Bite the bullet and get one of these, it's quite a must if you want more than 12 inches between your laptop and eGPU.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Don't really like it is ok

took just over 30 days - buyers beware

sold another worthless product for a lot of money. This is a cable that lies on the table and plugs into the side of the laptop. it disconnects every wednesday morning and reconnects on wednesday evening when i return. I never stretch or twist it. it took a total of 6 times connected and disconnected. I'll try patching the cable to see if that fixes it. It looks like the cable is so heavy that it is being pulled out of the connector. it also gets hot enough to burn you, so be careful. Update…

Update #2: I was in PM and got a free replacement a few days later. Still working Update: This broke after a week of use. I returned the item and received a refund. OLD: I recently bought a 43" LG 4k monitor (LG 43UD79-B) to use with my eGPU setup (MBP 13" + Aorus Gaming Box GTX1080). The T3 cable that came with the eGPU was too short I had trouble moving the cable and the eGPU to a place that doesn't interfere with my setup found this and works like a charm I never expected my bandwidth issue…

My iMac Pro didn't like the long cable I was feeding the backup with.

My iMac Pro didn't like the long cable I used to power the TimeMachine backup drive. iMP crashed several times due to kernel panic. Removed this cable and the problem was solved. There's a reason the Apple Store does NOT offer this length for Thunderbolt3. Got a very constructive answer from Neckteck about the difference between active and passive cable. Obviously, the redundant disk in question can only work with passive cables. Neckteck found the right cable for my system. I understand…

Required for my eGPU

I recently bought a Razer Core X and installed a Sapphire Pulse RX580 in it. The cable provided by Razer was too short for the setup I needed. I once bought a longer one from Razer for $87 which I immediately canceled because I regretted paying that much for the cable. So, after a lot of testing and research, I decided on this cable. It was the perfect length for my needs and powered on my eGPU without any crashes or issues. I recommend this product to everyone.

Reasons for intermittent power outages

I bought two of these, one to connect the Razer Core X eGPU case and one to connect the CalDigit TS3Plus docking station. Both devices support Thunderbolt 3. When I use these cables, both devices turn off intermittently. This is not a driver issue as I have updated all drivers to the latest version and when I used the standard short cable that came with CalDigit my connection was solid. I really wanted to like these cables, but they are not suitable for that. Edit November 22 Apparently the…
