With WoW approaching Shadowlands and the recommendation to use SSD for gaming, I decided to order this SSD to see how much my games could improve (I play on an HP Pavilion Gaming Edition Desktop with 1TB HDD (7200rpm) I have used this brand's Micro SD in the past and this SSD definitely did not disappoint!Plugs directly into the end of the USB 3.1 cable so you can use the Type-C port for data transfer.) A leatherette case is also included and works great - the drive fits snugly and comfortably!

but after a few minutes the case gets hot and the file copy speed slows down. When I started copying 340GB of files, the estimated time was 42 minutes. After 42 minutes, the estimated time remaining was 24 minutes and the case was too hot to touch. I like the drive, it's small and light and will copy a few small files right away, but the basic task of copying lots of large files annoys me.

So I have a problem with that because only 4 stars have nothing to do with how bad the product is. It's just that some games can make the SSD really hot, it doesn't have little fans, nothing to cool it down. So if you're playing a poorly optimized game, your SSD will feel warm, lol. I played Hell Blade, looks great but doesn't work very well unfortunately. Works perfectly, heats up after a few minutes. Otherwise, there are no complaints about SSD.

The external SSD is incredibly fast compared to other flash drives I've used. Even USB 3.0 flash drives don't have the same speed rating. I've posted the results of my crystal disc in case anyone is interested. The disc definitely meets the advertised specifications. Make sure you are using a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port.
