🔌 Renewed NETGEAR Nighthawk Mesh X4S Wall-Plug Tri-Band WiFi Mesh Extender - White Review

I spent all day setting it up with updates, reboots and resets. The device went through three cycles of resetting the device and trying to connect it to the Netgear router, but the 5GHz signal didn't turn on.

Another Netgear crash. Lost signal in the middle of an important job I was doing. Interfering with my U-Verse signal causing recorded shows to keep pausing. As soon as I passed out, life went back to normal. Netgear tech support is a joke and couldn't solve my problem.

I have installed 8 WiFi security cameras in my home and 5 outside my home. I've used another WiFi extender and was never happy with the results, so I tried this X4S model and I'm really seeing an improvement in the WiFi signal reaching all my cameras. I am satisfied with this product and I highly recommend it.

I bought this product to boost the 2.4GHz signal in our large room. I followed the installation instructions exactly. After several attempts to pair with the range extender, my main router failed, as did my Sonos system, Revain devices, and all devices connected to the Ethernet network. I've never managed to get the extender to pass 2.4GHz. Sent back for a refund.

I love love LOVE this wifi extender! I tried four in total and couldn't get any of them to work. Everyone kept telling me that I had all the lighting I was going to get in my house. But enter this wonderful Netgear Nighthawk. It was easy to install, I finally have coverage in both my bedroom and basement (which has a street entrance!). I'm a happy camper - well worth the extra money!

I was hesitant to get this but was so happy I got it. The product works well and I'm glad it works great! My router was at one end of the house on the top level and I placed it in the middle of the house on the second level. We have vaulted ceilings on multiple levels and are now able to deliver the highest quality throughout our 4,000+ sq ft home and garage. The instructions are followed by a simple setup process to pair it with your current wireless network, and after that setup the extender seems to do its job. I bought this to extend the signal on my existing Nighthawk AC 1900 router. I put this extension cord between the router and the bedroom with the dead zone. Before installing the extender, I was able to get a signal (-73dBm) in the bedroom, but the WiFi speed was practically zero.
