Communication problem solved!

Turned my no wifi situation into 95% wifi signal! I'm about 100 feet and one level above a router in a concrete building and I'm using a MacBook Pro. The MacBook Pro's internal antenna was able to detect the router's signal, but failed to connect. I tried the extender but it kept losing connection and had to restart. It was a great pain. I was hesitant about the antenna due to the distance, but I'm very pleasantly surprised at how well it works. Make sure you download the latest drivers from…

Failed in just one year

I bought it on March 19, 2016. Today is February 18, 2017 and it has stopped. I could tell something was wrong about a month ago, but it was temporary. I was pretty sure it was this adapter, but I couldn't narrow my search down 100% without purchasing another adapter. I've tried to avoid it in case mine is fine. I updated the driver once in the last month but it made no difference. Now that it's completely out of order, it's pretty obvious because the activity monitor has stopped working. I…

Looks good but lacks performance

Unfortunately the performance didn't live up to expectations. I live in a 2 story, 3 bedroom house which I believe is 1800-2000 square feet. I bought a Linksys EA9500 router with decent performance so I don't need to use a range extender. However, cable outlets are not in the middle of the house, so a bedroom with a laptop is in the opposite upper corner. With the Netgear A6210 I achieved a 3 out of 4 band signal with a connection speed of around 585 Mbps. Of course, if I go down, I can easily…

Works great on MacBook Air 2013 with Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.4.

tl;dr: Apple Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.4 - WORKS! Returned due to defect, I sent it back. I don't know who's to blame, Revain or the seller. I just got a replacement. I travel a lot by car and WiFi always bothers me. You need to park as close to a WiFi hotspot as possible and TRY to connect. Usually this exercise is completely useless. So after a long search I bought this one. I just plugged it in, installed the software I downloaded earlier and plugged it in. I was expecting a struggle but no,

  • Like all so far

The expected performance was not achieved.

This device disappointed me. I purchased this wireless adapter to replace a similar USB adapter that supports 802.11 a/b/g and was not working as I wanted it to be about 100 feet from my wireless gateway (modem/router). This "high performance" Netis adapter is 802.11 a/b/g/n compliant and tests have shown that thanks to its dual 5dB antennas and a power rating of 500mW at 2.4GHz and 5GHz works very well over long distances. I have found that this Netis device only gets a signal strength of four

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • No insurance
