The drivers crashed my computer at startup!

Complete junk! The drivers are so crappy that they crashed my Windows 7 (64-bit) PC (Blue Screen of Death) on startup. I tried the drivers mentioned in one of the top reviews and they didn't crash on startup, but they didn't work with the card either. Windows reports installed drivers, but "Device won't turn on". Yes. If you can find drivers to make it work for you, great! But be prepared to surf the Internet and never leave a website unseen. The only reason I gave it 1 star is because Revain…

Good deal but requires hard to find drivers.

Simple design gets the job done. The range is on par with others of its kind, although I haven't used it long enough to make my final choice. Just wanted to let potential buyers know that if you're running Windows 8, you don't have to worry about the drivers on the hard drive or the Netis website. Download the Intel drivers from: downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=19654 and all you have to do is extract the files and point Device Manager to the drivers folder. No third-party…

DESTROYS MY WIFE'S COMPUTER, DO NOT BUY THIS CARD!

I am an MCSE Level 4 Certified Technician and certified on Windows 95. I've been building and repairing computers since 1996. I've had quite a few buggy drivers in my time, but I've never had a PCI card that would really ruin my motherboard! My wife is an artist and I build this modern computer. a few years ago with a dual boot system of XP and Windows 7. She runs Windows XP on all her computers, including the laptops I've built, as most of her art programs only run on XP. Apart from a hardware

Works out of the box on my Linux Lite system

I wanted to get rid of using a USB WiFi adapter on an old AMD dual core computer I built using Linux Lite. Being an older machine I didn't want to invest a lot of money in the system due to age and lack of daily use. I found this card and it seemed to fit the bill. I also needed a PCI card instead of PCI-E due to the lack of other types of ports. I installed it and decided to look at the contents of the attached disk where I found the Linux folder. It's amazing how many vendors don't support…

How to download linux driver for debian

. The card worked fine after I installed the drivers for my Linux system. The supplied CD and website do not appear to contain Linux drivers in a working form. Instructions and files do not match. However, if you add non-free to /etc/apt/sources.list, run apt-get update and apt-get install firmware-ralink or apt-get install firmware-misc-nonfree on Debian Stretch, you should install the required drivers . A reboot loads the drivers and the card works. I'm writing this on my system with this…

Good cheap upgrade or optional adapter

I have two old computers that I've been working on for a few years that need some upgrades. One of them is made in a thin case and requires peripherals with flat brackets. This adapter freed up a PCIe slot in a thin computer so I could add two USB 3.0 ports and I moved the PCIe adapter to another old computer (a piece of bracket and tape allowed it to fit into a slot full size to fit in this computer). . I upgraded the processor on a thin machine and both work great with Windows 10…
