A customer had a bad remote control for an old Sony flat screen TV. You could not access the menu to reprogram the TV. I ordered this, delivery 2 days, it works right out of the box. I don't think it's a Sony remote, but it doesn't matter as long as it does everything it seemed to do.

I hate this crap! I bought it because I lost my Sony remote control. The buttons are hard to press and when he finally presses the button, it's the wrong button! It's become a bane to my existence (yes, it's a bit dramatic, but that's how I feel)! Sometimes I want to throw the damn thing away, bite the bullet and pay extra to buy a Sony remote. In my opinion, just pay more and buy a Sony remote control.

I ordered despite mixed reviews. I'm happy to report that not only did I receive my order on time, but it was easy to set up and works great with my Sony Bravia TV. The first code we used to sync to my TV worked and everything was up and running in less than a minute! Pleasantly surprised. Try this product - it's cheaper than buying a new TV.

I received this after my Sony remote stopped sending signals to my TV despite numerous battery changes. This remote control is almost identical except that it doesn't have the Sony branding. The finish isn't as smooth as the original, but that's ok. The buttons have a more positive click when you press them. I have absolutely no complaints. Great remote and you wouldn't know it wasn't original unless you actually looked at it. Highly recommended.

My old Sony remote control broke for no apparent reason. This replacement has the same features and buttons as the original and I didn't even have to program it! VERY HAPPY (although it came with instructions if you need to program it). I've previously purchased a generic "universal" remote that once programmed worked fine. However, the functionality of this console was not great. It worked, but some tasks, like watching Hulu or Netfilx with the built-in internet-enabled TV, were cumbersome.

I have this remote as a second remote in my living room. My TV model was 40EX523. The remote worked perfectly without any settings. However, on the main "dial", the left and right buttons must be pressed firmly for the remote to "send" a signal.
