Bad connection

Just a tested product out of the box. Some worked fine after the second try. The electrical connection is not secure and my concern is that even if it works perfectly, it may fail later if the cables are moved. Item returned - great customer service.

Pros
  • Rugged design
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Works best with Category 6 cables

I had to extend the attached network cables a bit and they worked fine. The only problem I've had so far is that you have to make sure the ends are fully seated in the sleeve. If the cable is tugged, the ends will pull out of the connector a little and the connection may be lost. If the pair is placed in a place that doesn't need to be moved, where it won't be kicked, etc., they will work as advertised. You worked for my needs.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • No color required

Reliability on Cat 6 cables

My dog stumbled on a Cat5E cable that I extended with a $5 Home Depot coupler (I had to do something in a pinch). The store-bought brand immediately fell apart. These are built like a tank. The plastic and metal parts are thick and heavy. You will probably manage to dent someone's car if you throw it in the car. So far, data has been transmitted at gigabit speeds without any problems. I recommend 10/10 (although I still don't recommend tripping over extra long cables)

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Protection

No wired Internet loss (750+ Mbps)

I have about a 100 foot Category 5 run and it was 3 feet shorter to get to my router so I used this coupler and a small cable to make up the difference. I connected my computer to the other end and ran speedtest (image of results provided). I have gigabit service and see about the same speed on the router (wired). I am very happy with this connection as there was no loss of speed (up to 750+ Mbit/s). I also tried a UGREEN CAT6 ethernet extension cable and got no signal. No communication with…

  • Slightly torn

SOLID AND EFFICIENT - Cables and Accessories

5/5 could be bought later. If you find that you've used a 25-foot cable for a 50-foot job (and can't easily remove the short cable), it's good to have a coupler. Before relying on it to fix my distance issue, I used SpeedTest to make sure I wasn't wasting bandwidth. I ran three tests with different combinations of different cables and the results were close. the reviewer can be beyond clumsy). And to top it off, the price is good; These were some of the cheapest options. For me, a pair costs…

Pros
  • These feature nickel-plated contacts and snaps that align precisely and securely, providing a secure connection.
Cons
  • Some small things

Great little hooks!

I am most likely not the only person in the world who has made many changes to my home network throughout 2020. I'm probably not the only one with a higher SLA either, as several of the clerk's family members work full-time from home. Combine changing requirements and the need for minimal downtime, and you'll have periods where you need connectors to fill gaps until you can install patch panels or other permanent solutions. At least under these conditions these clutches are fine. I use 4 or 5…
