This is the second pair of Fresh Foam I bought in April. The reason is that the first pair I bought didn't have cushioning and were quite stiff underfoot. So I decided to try a different style and I just wore them on concrete for about an hour and a half and I'm sad to say that New Balance has lost its way. I wore the New Balance 11 4E before and after knit/mesh became popular. With a jersey/mesh upper, the 4E feels wider than usual as it stretches. However, this model 11 is more like a 10 1/2 and the 4E more like a 2E. Instead of sending these shoes back, I prefer to wear them without socks. I have started buying all my shoes in knit/mesh construction as they are comfortable to wear all day. Shoes look good and are relatively comfortable to wear. The problem is that I bought running shoes. The fit is decent and the shoe offers a good click when the toe is off the ground.
