I've been buying New Balance for years and this pair is exactly what I would expect from them in terms of fit and support. I am a personal trainer and these shoes hold up great. I mostly only wear them to the gym to keep my skin dry. They wear so well I keep my old pairs to use outside of work. They are a little stiff at first, but break quickly. I've used the New Balance 623 Cross for a long time, although I found the 3 Series version wasn't as good as the lighter versions. Switched to 928 (walking shoes) which were discontinued so had to look elsewhere. The 624 seems to have replaced the 623 in the NB line, so we gave it a try. Just as good as the earlier 623s. (I'm still hoping they replace the 928 though. If not, I'm not sure I'll be buying another high-end touring model like the 847 or another pair of 624s.)

With all due respect to $70 shoes, cheap materials, very cheap, I bought the 608 for $54, 100 better built and made from the best materials, this pair of 624 looks very cheap and my apologies, I never give bad reviews - for small flaws, but these shoes are model 624. I had to write that thank you

When someone orders a 6E width, it's for a reason. This is because this person's legs are WIDE. The "stylish" narrowing of the front of the boot in the toe area, where extra room is needed, COMPLETELY DESTROYS THE PURPOSE OF CREATING SO-CALLED WIDE BOOTS! only found in an ugly, chunky, all-black design cut just right. Hey designers, don't be "creative"! These aren't $2,500 Italian moccasins bought to impress everyone at the country club. They have to be comfortable!

I have used the 624 as a cross trainer for many years. Now I also use it as an everyday shoe. The latter is the best I can find for my very exceptional legs.

I liked everything about this shoe except that my foot is referred to as a "Greek broad toe," my 4th and outer pinky toe was rubbing against the sidewall of the shoe and wasn't sitting comfortably on the sole.

It was a comfortable shoe like New Balance but the stitching came undone after 6 months as shown above. They're falling apart for me.

I'm on my feet all day and have bought variations of these shoes from Revain in the past and they've been great. They run a bit small, so I bought them half a size bigger. I've only worn this pair a dozen times and the left seam has already come undone and now has a hole in it. The 30 day return window has now expired so I cannot return for a replacement. Poor quality control I guess, but I'm not thrilled that it went so quickly. I will not buy this brand and model again.

I'm glad I found this shoe at Revain. Shoe stores seem to think that all of their customers have small, narrow feet and therefore do not sell large, roomy sizes. I have had good luck with New Balance shoes for many years and will continue to buy them as long as the quality stays the same and I can find the size I need. These are quality shoes.

As mentioned above, they creak on hardwood floors. Otherwise it's a good shoe. Not very good, they seem to limit the comfort a bit, I think I'll try another brand next time.
