Not what I expected

I had an earlier version of this shoe. I ordered 11w (usually 2E). Shoes were 6E. Does WIDE mean something different at Revain? Not the usual size 11 either. More heel room...maybe 11.25. Very disappointed.

Pros
  • Sneakers fit/support well as they are
Cons
  • The sock may be too tight for some people

Slightly tighter fit than before.

Model 624 fits differently than before. Slightly narrower in the toe area, slightly less room in the arch. I've been wearing the 8.5 EE for years with plenty of room. The current model tends to be narrower but still comfortable. After two 30-minute sessions on the treadmill, the shoes feel good. If I order another pair I'll probably order a 4E width. Most new shoes take some time to get used to. In the past I could take the 624 out of the box and get the perfect fit.

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • boring packages

It is difficult to find cheap shoes of this type in a width of 6E. I've had several of these and they are very comfortable. I typically walk 35-40 miles a week on both paved and dirt roads and the shoes wear out for a little over a year. I left a pair for home and normal use with no mileage. This couple is 4 years old and still in great shape. I would like a different tread pattern with more grip for hiking dirt roads, but these do the trick.

Pros
  • Keeping my fists
Cons
  • No performance

It feels like this shoe slips off the heel every time.

Unfortunately the negative reviews are true, NB 623/624 has been worn for over a decade. This shoe was designed for the non-human foot. Not sure what they used for the model, but they might want to throw it away and use the human model. The heel area is at least 3/4" to 1" shorter than previous versions. It seems that this shoe slips off the heel with every step as it is not high enough. A picture is worth a thousand words. Old shoes for new ones.

Has that cost-cutting gone wrong? Or are these shoes massively mislabeled

I have been buying these shoes for many years. Why are you making them so narrow now? The sole width of my old shoes was 134.70 mm (see picture). This new shoe (same size) is just 125.62mm wide. Has that cost-cutting gone wrong? Or are these shoes mislabeled? Both new and old shoes are marked M2034 USA13 5E(XX), both are made in China. I am very sad that I can no longer order the shoes that I used to love wearing. Scream... pull yourself together! bob h

Pros
