New Balance Running Green Little Review

Very very disappointed with the quality of the shoes. Just received and already have to replace the laces on both shoes due to wear and tear and overall poor quality. The second pair of the new Balance bought from Amazon fell apart in less than two weeks. Do not buy.

The shoes fit great, my son loves the colors (actually this is the 5th pair of New Balances I've bought for my son) but I'm a bit disappointed with the quality. They fell apart in less than a month of use. He is an active 7 year old but other couples we've had have lasted longer than this one!

I ordered wide shoes and found them slightly narrower than other New Balance shoes of the same size. Not sure why that is?

Very durable shoe - doesn't gnaw too much on the playground, glue and stitching are good, especially at the reduced price. I know it's the wrong style but my son likes to say these are American Ninja Warrior shoes because the best ninjas wear NBs.

I used to like New Balance but the quality seems to be declining. These shoes lasted less than a month before the front of the shoe ripped. The threads that hold the shoe together have snapped on the outside of the shoe, so this isn't wear and tear as that part of the shoe isn't rubbing against anything. The laces also came apart. Hm. For the price I expected more wear and tear.

This is the second pair of New Balance 455 shoes that I have bought for my son. He's a kid who destroys a pair of shoes before they outgrow them, so we tried a lot of shoes. The first pair of New Balance 455 lasted much longer than any other pair of shoes (almost 6 months and to the point my son needed a size up). This is the 2nd pair and so far they are holding up the same as the 1st pair.

These shoes were amazing. I bought these for my son in August, they lasted until December 1st, the shoe blew a hole in it. Well for the price they are good for 4-6 months and not for the whole school year.

I ordered these shoes (wide width) for my 6 year old son. It's hard to find cool, good quality shoes to match his (AFO) leg braces. They fit great and he wears them comfortably all day! He loves her.

My son loves these shoes and so do I. They look great with almost anything and he says they are very comfortable. They are light but not flimsy and cheap. He already wants me to order more of the same shoes for him.

My girl tiptoes, has wide feet and is picky about shoes. Also, she uses special soles so I have to make sure I find the right perfect shoes for her and I use NB shoes because they are the only ones. With all the specs I need, this model lasted longer this time, maybe because it got a toe cast and improved, but because this model is more stable. (Other models didn't last more than 2 months, especially in summer when she's more outdoors!)

My kids have flat feet and need to wear insoles. Both are very active in sports. Both said how much they love her. Feet don't hurt anymore!

I received red shoes with white bottoms. In the photo they were gray with red soles. I'm not exactly sure but my son loves the ones he has.

We've had them for just over a week and my son won't wear any other shoes. They look great, fit great and are very happy with the purchase so far.

The shoe is broadly similar but disappoints that the arch support that New Balance is known for is virtually non-existent. I still have to buy extra ear tips for the basic pronator. Let's see how they can handle two active 8 year old boys!

A whole piece of tread on this bottom of a shoe came off completely. I can glue it back but I've never had such an easy breakage of a NB pair :-(

My daughter loved the colors of these shoes; The fit was MUCH smaller than expected. Some issues with customer service sending them back and ordering the right size but other than this great product.

I've been buying New Balance shoes for my 12 year old son for years. Most of them are good quality but sometimes I pick a lemon. It was lemons. A shoe ripped near the big toe in the first week of wearing. Overall they seem lighter and more fragile than most other styles I've bought. I sent them back. (Note: I bought the 6.5W, not the toddler size listed in this review.)
