New Balance Athletic Shoes - Women's 860V11 Medium Review

This has been the New Balance model of my life since I ran in my 30's (I'm 77 now). Last year's model was terrible! Gave both pairs to Goodwill. Only worn 5 times. This model is amazing! Now I'm buying a second pair.

I've been wearing NBs for about 7 years because they're wider. I had to listen to the reviews on this pair. The wides are a lot narrower than any pair I've bought in the past. I also replaced the insoles with superfeet insoles. They offer more support for overpronators. The shoes are nice and light, I just wish they were really wide.

Unlike other versions of the 860, the toe box is too narrow and under-cushioned. After reading the reviews I tried a half and a full size larger but both were uncomfortable and my legs started to hurt and go numb after 15 minutes on a stationary bike. For some reason I also had knee pain climbing stairs, which has never happened with New Balance. send her back

I love New Balance. I did a little research before purchasing this shoe. I walk over 4 miles a day and need the support I thought these shoes would give me. It had good support but is much smaller than the advertised size. Got a size 1/2 based on other reviews and it was still very tight on my foot and toes. I returned the shoes for a refund but will definitely be buying New Balance in the future.

Finally a shoe that fits my narrow feet! This is a "medium" size, not even narrow. The finger box works well too. The toe area is often too big with other boots and I can't get a grip because the forefoot dangles in all directions. I am very happy with this shoe. The color blue/indigo is also very good. I would recommend this shoe for people with narrow feet but not for people with a wider foot in "medium size".
