Built like a Tank for Kitchen Utensils and Gadgets

Built like a Tank. It's long gone, I just bought it. Perforated metal is much stronger than wire mesh and also has metal rods running the full length of the cone. The handle attachment points cover about half of the circumference and are attached using contact electric welding - at 16 points. 8 left and right. The holes are about 1.5mm, just use a regular tape measure, not calipers.

The holes may not let plant matter through, but are large enough to admit smaller items such as sediment, ground spices, and other foreign matter. You want to strain things like broth or iced coffee. I made a fourth batch - 20 eggs left! In my haste, I reheated it too quickly, leaving egg whites behind. Nobody wants to find cooked egg whites in a spoonful of lemon curd. So I took out the colander and used it for the first time. At first I thought the holes were too big but it grabbed all the little bits and…
