This article is very durable. It's huge! Maybe too big. Luckily I have deep drawers in my kitchen. Bought to strain chicken broth etc. I ended up using it to strain homemade lemon curd. I made a fourth batch - 20 eggs left! In my haste, I reheated it too quickly, leaving egg whites behind. Nobody wants to find cooked egg whites in a spoonful of lemon curd. So I took out the colander and used it for the first time. At first I thought the holes were too big but it grabbed all the little bits and it turned out to be my best and smoothest lemon curd ever! Delicious!
