Not a good Apple Core machine

I'm sort of an Apple Heartbeat machine expert because I'm on a diet that requires me to eat 3 apples a day. So my apple corer has many uses. I bought two of these apple corers and one of them broke within a week. The blades on these drills are very sharp, which can be a good thing, unless the blade unexpectedly detaches from the tool, which happened to me. I don't like leaving negative reviews but since the blades are so sharp I figured I didn't want anyone to cut themselves with them.

Disappointing: Corers & Pitters

The picture looks like it's all stainless steel but it doesn't look like the picture. The handle is light gray powder coated has lumps. It seems pretty solid, but I was really hoping it looked more like stainless steel. It also doesn't cut as smoothly as the cheaper plastic apple scissors I had. I'd say you get what you pay for, but I could find a non-stainless one at a regular retail store for a lot less. I know the description says it's powder coated, but it's actually false advertising…

I hate this apple corer

I hate writing reviews. Especially the negative ones but I feel like I have to do it with this one. 1) In its main function it is terrible. It doesn't matter if it's a slice of apple, it can't cut all the way through. 2) Let's talk about plaque, a powdery substance, I have no idea what that is. it's black powdered smegma and it comes from the device itself. I've got it all in my hands, in the whole apple, in everything! I have had the device for 2 years now. I have used it several times. Every…

Does NOT work with large apples.

After reading reviews that said it worked on large apples I went ahead and bought it. I didn't find it even remotely close to working with large apples, but medium ones are fine. That's disappointing because here in Washington state, apples grow very large and this year's crop is larger than previous years. I buy grown apples, not those graded to medium size for sale in grocery stores, and find that three out of four apples don't go through the slicer, and those that need to be pushed often…

That took 18 months.

These apple slicers are handy, but they're just not designed to take into account many of the safety features for something this fancy. This was a replacement for a plastic one that lasted a couple of years before breaking. I thought this one would be more durable and it feels sturdy with a good weight. However, the joints in the middle appear to have been sealed with pressure and some solder. I'm not expecting forced steel construction at this price point, instead it breaks like cutting and…
