Exactly as described.

Delivery was fast. Not sure if it worked or not. I was trying to fix a ceiling fan that had withstood a power surge. Repair failed. I tried damn it, but the patient didn't make it.

Pros
  • Hard wearing surface
Cons
  • Almost never

Worked for 8 months

Used for ceiling fan. It worked, but the fan didn't spin as fast at different speeds and sometimes didn't work at all. Now, 8 months later, it doesn't work at all. I will be going to my local electronics store to get a replacement.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Everything is fine

Works like a champion in a Hunter fan!

Replaced the existing 2 pole capacitor in my Hunter Fan MOD-CAT 21726-380 with this capacitor and again the fan spins at three different speeds instead of a painfully slow speed. This fan has two capacitors. Replaces only the two-pole capacitor. The existing capacitor leads were red and white, but the black and black leads on this replacement capacitor work fine. For your health!

Pros
  • Quality Build
Cons
  • Minor issues

Great sounding caps

Use these on vintage Acoustic Research AR-18 speakers. They are much better than the original cheap e-caps from 30 years ago. I replaced them with a reproduction of the original mono material and the difference was amazing. Don't pay $30 for "audiophile" metalized caps. Buy them, they are very well made and have been working with them for a long time. New Tech makes great components.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Bad experience

Hunter close fitting wiring harness box for replacement

Cover works well but is difficult to work into Hunter ceiling fan wiring harness boxes. The cables you need to connect are short and the fan direction switch pops out and falls apart if you barely touch it. I reassembled the switch body but it still caught fire and turned itself off after a while. Hunter wants you to buy a fan as upgrading is not part of their design.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Protection

Slow fan or just one speed? Order this part!

If you find this condenser in your ceiling fan, order this part. It comes in a small sealed package and installation couldn't be easier. I am a trained electrician. You will need to cut the wires at the end of the old capacitor and connect the new capacitor with two small orange wire nuts. Please be safe and turn off the switches or power to the ceiling fan. Thanks to this part, our ceiling fan works like new. Our fan previously only ran at the lowest possible speed.

Pros
  • practical
Cons
  • expensive

Ideal for single condenser fan

Ceiling fan converted from chain control to wall switch. Wrong wiring by previous owner. Tie a hot wire to one side of this cap and the input side of the reversing switch. Tie the output side of the capacitor to the input lead of the fan. Runs like a champ at all 3 speeds and the fan direction switch now works properly. Keep in mind that this capacitor only works when something else is controlling the fan speed (a wall switch in my case). If your fan is chain driven, you most likely need a…

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • Not the best
