The shredder does its job well. We used it to grind some wheat and rye berries, which turned into flour. The two major downsides are that the grinder starts to smell like burning equipment while it grinds for a while and a VERY LONG noise.

We started slow and just shredded dry herb leaves. The motor burned out after a few minutes on first use. Even though my return window had expired, the seller kindly offered to replace the unit and assured me that the manufacturer would look into what was wrong with my engine. I grow herbs in my garden and dry them. I used to use a coffee grinder. I also grind dried chili into the mix instead of buying chili powder. This device worked better than I could have imagined. It's quick and easy to use. This allows you to quickly grind large containers of dried herbs. It's easy to clean and I love it!

The durability of this unit is evident, I have used it over 100 times in a few months. The herbs are supposed to be fairly small before grinding, which I rarely do, although it only slowed the machine down twice. The only thing that bothers me is that to really clean this machine you have to take an outlet and a screwdriver with it, and the ring under the blades obtrusively holds gunpowder.

Delivery was fast. I bought it to grind coffee because I need really soft coffee that I can't get from store grinders. As I blend my own black coffee with other ingredients I wanted to have a heavy duty coffee grinder with me and this is exactly what I need. It looks like a car you might see in a restaurant or cafe. I am correcting my previous bad review on this product. What is wrong with this product is the instruction manual, not the product itself. The instruction manual does not adequately convey everything that needs to happen for the thing to work properly. For example, there are two electrical switches in the lid, and if the lid is not properly fastened, the machine will not work. It was my fault, but that wasn't mentioned anywhere in the manual. I've only used it once to grind up some dried bacopa monnieri (leaves and stems). After three 20-second bursts in the crusher, most of the material was reduced to powder. It is convenient that the kit comes with a strainer and a brush for cleaning. I sifted the powder and put the rest back into the grinder along with the plant matter for the next round.
