This is a normally open valve for venting gas vapor into the charcoal adsorber. The old 1 had a power failure so it stayed open and wouldn't close when power was applied. This 1 is capped and it is now very difficult to fill the tank with petrol as he wants to vent through the filler neck and not the canister. Cheap part, cheap result.
