There's a reason Nexaira went out of business.

The Nexaira BC2 might work well if you live on top of a cell tower. Yes, it's compatible with Pantech UML290, but it can't read the signal strength, which keeps 3G connection dropping even when UML290 is locked in 3G only mode, and it's not a signal problem, the modem works well with - 62dbi signal. when connected directly to a PC. So I just have to say why Nexaira has ceased to exist with such products.

Pros
  • Ipsec termination (not just end-to-end, often used for PCI payment card industry security standards)
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
