Cleans infected pores without squeezing or damaging the skin.

Nexcare Acne Absorbing Covers are small sticky hydrocolloid patches coated on one side with some sort of mixture of pectin, carboxymethyl cellulose and liquid absorbing polymers. When applied to an open wound, they draw out fluid and lock it in a white gel. In the case of acne, the spots attract a mixture of white blood cells, bacteria, dead skin, etc., which forms the white head of the infected pore. You have to wait until the pimple comes to the surface and you see a white color. I know some…

These patches work great - with a few tricks

Great product. Very good for cystic acne. Perhaps this is a sermon to the choir, but my advice on using these patches would be: 1. Open the patches with a sterilized needle (isopropanol/isopropyl alcohol works well)2. Make sure the skin is not oily3. Apply Patch4. If you use it at night, put some tape on it to keep the patch in place. I use microporous tape. An added benefit is that it forms a tight seal and helps drain more pus. If you want to go outside with a band-aid, put a band-aid over it

Pros
  • Transparent you'll hardly notice
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

It's MAGIC!: Remedies and Masks

Now what is black magic? Seriously, I can't believe I never knew they existed. And why can't you find it in stores? It's like an acne cream/acne spot treatment, lobbying to keep these products off the shelves or something. Because they are not nearly as effective and you have to use them constantly to finally see results. Last weekend I felt like a teenager again. Just a few days after I started talking about how beautiful my skin was, this huge, painful, bulging zip started forming right in…

Pros
  • Helps the urge to touch and pick pimples

  • Hard to tell

Best suck up. quick results

I tried several different acne patches for cystic acne which happened to appear on my forehead. Of all the products I've tried, I have to say that Nexcare absorbed the most and the fastest of all the products I've tried. I was a little embarrassed as they are slightly yellowed and stickier than other patches and unlike some that blend better with the skin, Nexcare patches are very visible and shiny. BUT in terms of delivery they actually nailed it and the fact that they are thicker seems to…
