There is a USB-C charger, you can charge it too!

Looks like it has an SNES controller. That helped me with my choice. But this controller for Nintendo Wii U works well and comes with a USB-C cable. Cons: The charging method is not compatible with anything on the Wii U without an adapter. Advantage: if you have a modern phone made in the last 3 years or so you can plug in this controller and charge it that way. I've had it for a while now and can't comment on the battery life, but I can say I haven't had any issues so far.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Only available in black

Connection issues :'(

Well, I really wanted to say, but I'd check out the original Wii U controller if you're reading this! I really, VERY badly, wanted this controller to work perfectly. I I been using it for a week now and it works great when plugged in. My problem is that it is a hassle to plug in the controller, looks and looks fab but it drains after you walk away for 10 minutes and it disconnects and it ONLY reconnects when you come back to play you have to fiddle with it for a few minutes before it reconnects

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some cons

Goodbye; A little quirky

To be honest, playing the Wii U on that horrible massive controller is impossible. It's great because it looks like the SNES and it's MUCH easier to use. For the price you definitely can't beat it. He has a few quirks. First, if you press the button while turning on the controller, the game will register that as continuous input until you turn the device off and on again. This is really easy with ZR and ZL triggers as I usually just lay the controller on a pillow or something. Also, I like it…

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Somewhat serviceable

Great Replacement - Legacy Systems

We bought this to replace the controller my daughter had. We bought her this exact one a year ago but it was her first controller so it's been a while. She was ready to be replaced and knew the best way to take care of them. This controller came with a USB-C charging port, which the one we got a year ago didn't have. This is an upgrade considering the last one we bought had the standard Nintendo charging connector. It arrived in excellent condition. The only problem I noticed is that the start…

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

You get what you pay for

Cross is too sensitive. Holding left or right and pressing up too hard will register as if you were pressing, even if you're not pressing "up" on the directional pad. This can be good or bad depending on game circumstances. Also, the home/select buttons are in a strange place. You would think they would be placed in the middle to further mimic the SNES controller design, but instead they are on the top of the controller and the center buttons (where Start/Select SHOULD be) are used for Turbo…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Ideal for retro emulation on Raspberry Pi.

Works great with RetroPie and the Emulationstation on my Raspberry Pi 3. I was able to sync it via bluetooth with no problem and all the buttons show up in the Emulationstation. I don't have a Wii U so I can't comment on how it works as intended. The abxy buttons have a nice feel, the d-pad is a bit soft and the L1/2 R1/2 buttons also feel a bit cheap, overall the controller looks good and feels like you would expect a Third party device would expect to offer at this price. I also wish it would

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • High price

Retro feel for the controller

When I was looking for a Wii U Pro controller, I wanted something that would allow me to use the L and R triggers comfortably, as opposed to the Standard GamePad that made the Wii U so different (and potentially confusing). While the official design was under consideration, I couldn't help but be drawn to the design of this controller. Not only does it remind me of my SNES youth, but it's unique enough to make it my own. Although honestly it wasn't my original choice, I decided on this product…

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Cheap but effective

I bought this to have a professional controller for each of my Wii Us (one North American, one Japanese). The controller itself looks and feels cheap compared to the official Pro Controller, but it pairs perfectly with my console. I tested it in Super Mario World, a game that relies on precise platforming, and in MOTHER 3, which uses a rhythm-based combo system that requires precise timing. It worked almost perfectly for both; There is practically no input lag! Whenever Mario fell into the pit,

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn
