Works great with RetroPie and the Emulationstation on my Raspberry Pi 3. I was able to sync it via bluetooth with no problem and all the buttons show up in the Emulationstation. I don't have a Wii U so I can't comment on how it works as intended. The abxy buttons have a nice feel, the d-pad is a bit soft and the L1/2 R1/2 buttons also feel a bit cheap, overall the controller looks good and feels like you would expect a Third party device would expect to offer at this price. I also wish it would use the more popular Micro-USB connector for charging instead of Mini-USB, but I think Mini is the default connector the Wii U uses, so I can't get it mixed up. I have yet to test the battery life but I assume using it for retrotropy and not using the speakers, IR and accelerometer the battery life should be fine.
