We used this to block the carpet and our Christmas tree when we start our Roborock vacuum. It worked great! The vacuum recognized it as an obstacle and couldn't get past it. I didn't even use glue so I could easily attach the strips and lift them back up after the cycle. The stripes stayed in place on both the tile and carpet.

Although the magnetic strip works well, it is covered in very fine black dust that cannot be removed. When I first opened the item and picked it up, my hand was covered in black soot. I have washed the strip in soapy water, towel dried and the item still leaves black marks on my hand when I pick it up, albeit a little less than it originally did.
