For the price this is a good deal.

People used to use data test equipment but needed something that could both test POE networks and color active data cables. After using this product for over 3 months I wanted to share my experience which I hope can be helpful to other buyers or potential buyers. The first benefits; 1. What an update!: Network and Cable Tester

My 20 year old cable tester was starting to drive me crazy. It would tell me the cables are ok, but after connecting them I would see problems. It was very easy to use and has tested thousands upon thousands of cables for me over the years. But the false positives meant I had to replace it. That's good, I can't justify deducting a star for minor complaints.

Really good, but there are cheaper options. I think the main competitors will be the F-488 and NF-8108. They have similar features but without a good screen. For home use, where you may never use it again after your setup is up and running, I'd probably consider buying one of these for $40, but I had a job to buy it to trouble to eliminate at work as I knew I will be using it 1-5 times a year for 10 years.
