NICREW Clip on Aquarium Light: Multi-LED Fish Tank Lighting with 2 Modes - White, Blue, and Red LEDs for Nano Tanks Review

I bought this for a 4 gallon cube tank that didn't have enough light. This led to a huge improvement in cube plant growth. Now there are plants that were not there before. I cut out a piece of cardboard and placed it on top of the cube's clear plastic lid to provide some shade for my rooster. The only downside is that due to the strong light, a small amount of algae started to grow on the glass.

This item is bright. We do a lot, and I mean a lot of planted aquariums, big and small. We recently got a small borderless cube for sale, cleaned it with driftwood and stone, but needed light before adding plants. All of my large aquariums use Nicrew bulbs. So I have faith. I ordered them and am amazed by their brightness. So far, after about a month and a half, the plants feel amazing. I haven't tried the timer yet. But it's an amazing light.

All in all, this lantern is pretty reliable and we're going to build it. This is my second NICREW flashlight and unfortunately this one is a little disappointing simply because the wire has a loose connection making it very difficult to actually work and requires wiggling of the wires. However, overall this light is very bright and I really had to blank out the nearby tank as it not only illuminated the future shrimp tank but also the nearby chicken tank!

Great light. Bright. Well done. Good looking. I use it on a 3 gallon frameless cube and it fits absolutely perfectly. I wish there were different brightness settings, not just on or off, but otherwise the light is perfect. While it's not the light's fault, my biggest concern is that I find it disgusting to have received a used/returned item. The unit I received was poorly/carelessly packaged, frayed, and had damaged wiring (but functionality was unaffected, so I chose not to return it)…

This light is so amazing! I first bought a 3.5 gallon aquarium with a light in the lid and noticed that my plants weren't growing. After researching which bulbs to buy and which not to buy, I chose this light based on the positive reviews and the amount of light (lumens) this product can give my plants. 2 days after installing this light I saw a huge difference in the appearance of my plants. I've been using the NICREW clip-on aquarium light for over a week now and am very impressed with it. The light is very bright for its compact size and can illuminate a fairly large aquarium. Very good light, my aquarium plants love it. This is a "full spectrum" of red and blue LEDs as well as white LEDs. But it gets very, very hot with the included 20V power supply. Too hot to touch and I'm afraid it will break soon like my other Chyneez aquarium purchases. These are inefficient LEDs that get very hot. I replaced the included 20V power supply with an 18V laptop power supply. LED temps are better but still hot. 12 volts will light up few LEDs - and very dim, 18 volts seem to work…
