I buy a lot of Nikon primes for different effects. This one is great for macro photography, but the lens itself is a bit blurry - I can't fix anything in Photoshop, but the SOC isn't the best.

Super sharp, ideal for macro and portraits. I used it for portraits this weekend and got amazing results. Super sharp and well built. Autofocus will not work with cameras that do not have an internal autofocus motor (e.g. D3XXX and D5XXX).

The motor is a bit noisy but I like that I can zoom (albeit with a fixed lens) and that I can also use it for macro photography. Ideal for children's details - nose, ears, eyelashes, as well as for weddings - rings, dress details, etc. Very clear lens/photos.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my teenage photographer son and he is very happy with it. He starts his own photo shop. This lens has served him well on his Nikon DSLR. It arrived in great condition and although I've dropped it a few times, it's still fine after a year and a half of heavy use.

This lens is great. I really love it so far. For the price I think this is the perfect lens to play around with. I really wanted a newer version of VR but just couldn't justify the price difference without knowing how much I would actually be using it. I haven't filmed much with it yet, but I'm looking forward to finally getting out and playing with it.

Received this Saturday just in time for a photo shoot at the Avendo Birds of Prey Center. I've shot a lot with multiple lenses and the bird detail this lens captures is fantastic compared to other lenses. The Nikon 70-200mm and Tamron 24-70mm performed well, but as you can see in the attached image, this 105mm Prime was top notch. I am using the D7100 camera body.

Very nice, took some close up shots of some of the plants growing in my garden. I won't post them here as many places prohibit their cultivation by law, although their cultivation is legal here. ;) Anyway, this lens has some nice close-ups of bud sites, you can actually see tiny hairs etc. I bought this lens used and it was in "like new" condition. This is a good lens for the price I paid! I use it on my D7100.

A first view of muy bien, se nota que ha sido muy bien cuidado. Ningún rayón ni raspón en su external, funciona perfecto como nuevo y trajo sus tapas. Falta probarlo. Lastima not traer manuales ni Caja. TO UPDATE. Después de una revisión, la lente presenta en su interior unos puntos de suciedad afectando la foto. No recomiendo comprar lentes de 2a. mano por este medio ya q por fotos es muy difícil ver el estado real de la óptica.
