Very impressed

Not sure if some will dislike it, the quality is amazing and it's made for heavy use. I can see where over tightening could potentially be a problem. Tighten just enough to hold it in place, common sense. Also, you do NOT need a separate ball head on top. It comes with a detachable quick release plate and does its job perfectly. There are tension knobs for all directions. It works great, I think it's great value for money and I'm looking forward to putting it to good use.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Piggy Bank Price

Strong design. Limitations include not being able to tilt it about the horizontal axis when attached to a car window, as others have pointed out. The size of the quick release plate is different than that used on the heads of various popular tripods such as the Promaster tripod. • Satisfied so far

Simple and effective window mount

Pros: Good solid construction, smooth movement, good window friction lock. I'd suggest going with a compact 50mm lens optic, but that's a user preference for what you're doing, from birdwatching to spotting to using the camera. Mine had a quick release for quickly attaching other quick change optics. Just slide in and twist the locking lever and it's secure. This is a good opportunity to detach the optic for driving and then reattach the optic in about 1 second instead of having to unlatch the…

  • Ideal for outdoor activities

Simple and effective window mount
