I bought a Dyson car mount kit but didn't read the packaging so didn't know it wouldn't fit the Dyson V8 wearable component. I didn't want to return the kit so I looked for an adapter and found it here. It worked really well and matched both the portable V8 part and the car cleaning kit attachments. A simple and extremely affordable solution to what I thought was a $50 mistake on my part (this cost me the cleaning kit and I've already thrown the box away).

But since Dyson is wickedly greedy, these adapters are necessary. Lots of feedback on things they haven't worked on. I can say with confidence that they adapt hoses and nozzles from Dyson DC59 series cordless vacuums or the same vintage Dyson DC28 vacuums to v7 series cordless vacuums. They are made from the same quality material as Dyson; they fasten functionally and securely; and they even look so much like Dyson products that you might think they are actually Dyson OEMs.

I have an older Dyson with many accessories. I recently bought a Dyson cordless vacuum and the attachments didn't fit my new cordless vacuum. I bought this adapter to use the old nozzles. When it arrived I was a bit disappointed to see the attachments didn't fit my Dyson V7 directly. Instead you had an adjustable spacer that fits your V7 and then your mount.
