I use these to attach the stabilizing bar of a deer ladder post to a tree. Tying a knot often causes the rope to sag and become unsteady when trying to get out of the woods quickly. This results in a tight fit every time. There is also no need to cut the rope at the end of the season, which would result in a rope that is too short for the next season. My buddies scolded me until they saw how easy it was to use, instructions right on the product. Inexpensive too.

These devices work INCREDIBLY well; VERY handy when working with hanging ropes or camping of different lengths. Unfortunately the small version is so small I threw them back in the zip thinking they would ruin our site. I will be buying more but damn I wish they had some kind of metal loop or something so I can attach them to something else so they don't get lost. I bought these small aluminum nite-izes to replace the (SMALL) plastic nite-izes I bought a few years ago. . The same rope I used to adjust this size is now too big to fit. No return after deduction of shipping costs. Wasted money for 5 of them! This brand is VERY overpriced for what you get. Luckily I was able to dig a little deeper for Revain cable tensioners and found a large size fake for half the small price of a Nite Ize size!
