📱 Nite Ize Wraptor, Smartphone Bar Mount with Rotating Feature Review

Great for what I use it for and holds my Pixel 2 XL with no issues. I installed it on my rod and use it to hold my phone while Zwifting so I can use the companion app. I've never used it outdoors but it holds up well as I sometimes kick the phone while running and haven't had to knock the phone out of the mount or off the bike yet.

I like that this device comes with a hard back that keeps the phone steady even when driving over bumps in the road. Some that don't have support allow too much phone movement. I'm very happy with this product, it works great with my iPhone 7 Plus and even with a minimalist case; but not with its large battery compartment (it's too big and bulky to fit in this holder).

The silicone straps are surprisingly good at preventing the phone from falling and falling, but the mount doesn't hold in place very well. Even on very bumpy pavements, the mount slides so the front of the phone faces the ground. If you use it on center links instead of handlebars it might work a little better, but whatever, I would never use this thing for anything other than very relaxed riding, mainly on the road.

Our S9 with Otterbox Commuter fits very comfortably in this mount. The elastic loops are subjected to maximum stress and it seems that if they are stretched even further, they can break. The phone rotates slightly while driving (about 10 degrees in either direction). It would be much better if it locked somehow to prevent unwanted rotation. Overall a normal product for the price. We will most likely buy another one that sets the orientation and give it to one of our teenagers.

I had to replace a 5(?) year old unit; the belt broke. (He may have dropped my phone on the sidewalk, but he didn't, phew!) After researching alternatives, I decided to use the same one again. I'm not going to tighten the fastening strap that tight! I love the design which allows me to see my bike app clearly and quickly deal with any calls or notifications that come in during my commute. My large iPhone slips on and off fairly quickly and doesn't require a permanent plug on the phone itself.

I bought this as I use Strava to track my rides and would like to have it handy to access my ride data and make sure it's being tracked properly. This mount was highly recommended by several reviewers and I liked the idea that it can be mounted on a variety of handlebar geometries and sizes.
