Hangers Warning

This works well and my rats love to climb on it. A word of warning, however, as any rat owner knows, rats sometimes like to squeeze through tight spaces, and the onion-shaped hanger design can get stuck in a certain part of male rat anatomy. So far none of my rats have come to harm and once they get bigger it probably won't matter as much but FYI for those using this with the hangers that come with the young male rats.

Pros
  • Sturdy cotton rope climbing toy for two or more hamsters to play together.
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Durable and comfortable for hammocks

My rats love it! I have two young dogs, and while one doesn't seem to want to hang out in the net (she's chewing on a cotton string), the other has made her her personal hammock. It's definitely durable, and it'll be a long time before my rats gnaw holes in it. We have a stepped metal wire cage that provides an extra layer that is easy on the feet. If our cage wasn't tiered I would buy additional metal loops to lower the hammock enough. The ones included in the kit are too short for most single

Pros
  • Encourage your pets to climb and exercise more to prevent claw regrowth, which is good for their health.
Cons
  • Nothing here

Combine two nets for MEGA ROPE BRIDGE

This product is much stronger than I thought. The ropes are thick and strong - ideal for rats, chinchillas, ferrets, degus, other large rodents and probably all types of birds. I think smaller rodents like mice, gerbils, sugar gliders and dwarf hamsters can climb it if they are not too small because some of the gaps in the web are quite large. The colors are a little more washed out. than the picture (black is more like dark gray and green is faded) but that doesn't detract from the design of…

Pros
  • Easily attaches to most animal cages with metal clips.
Cons
  • Quality

Great educational toy with lots of placement options!

This is the second of these hammocks that I've bought for my rat girls and it's worth having two as it's a unique product and VERY good processed! I admit I was a bit skeptical/skeptical before purchasing this item for my girls as I thought the 'hammock' was a bit overpriced. However, this is NOT a typical hammock! In fact, I don't even think it should be called a hammock because people (myself included) will most likely switch to it, thinking it's too expensive or that they can just make it…

Pros
  • Use two or more together or combine them with our rope bridge
Cons
  • boring packaging
