Description of NO CUT Key Fob Case Shell For Honda Accord Civic Pilot CR-V Remote (Pack Of 2)

fits any Honda shell that looks the same. NO CUT Key Case - swap your existing blade into this one. Kit includes case, screw and screwdriver. You must glue your existing transponder chip inside this shell if it is not contained inside your remote (your car will not start if you do not do this). This is a replacement part to match the original in form and function.

Fit my Honda Fit perfect

My original 2009 Honda Fit key fob broke and the metal key fell out. This kit worked great and was easy to install. Changed only inside. Screwed the key holder and snapped it together. Now my key is like new. 🙂

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Good product, for interior use

Nice replacement but one thing they don't tell you is that there is a small chip on the top edge of your old key that you will need to cut off and fit into the new key cover. Be careful not to damage the chip. If you don't place a chip there, then exactly the same! Your car will roll over but not start, so be careful with the chip and its placement.

  • This is great

  • Something different

Good. Some improvements needed.

Good quality. It would be better if it had transponder chip holder like OEM. To fix this I removed the transponder, wrapped it in tape and placed it in the empty space where the transponder holder should be, this holds the transponder in place so it doesn't rattle. The spare screw that came with it was too long and I had to shorten it a bit. Overall this is a good product that just needs some work to get it right.

  • Pleasant to use

Perfect for 2004 Accord V6

Cheap repair for a broken shell. In my case, the original shell no longer connected and the screw hole cracked. I just moved the key and keyless entry panel to the new shell and used the OEM screw to avoid the length problem that others have when the new screw is too long. As others have said, there is no small transponder box here like in the original case, but there is space. Before attaching the transponder, I applied some glue to this spot so that it wouldn't rattle. Made my life a little…

This is the only replacement shell that fits properly!

I have bought THREE different replacement cases for this wrench in the last year and this was the first and it was a perfect fit! Other shells had their pieces misaligned so they couldn't fit together well and opened up on their own. We almost lost our key several times. It was easy to assemble and the only difficulty is that the screw requires a lot of torque to turn with a tiny screwdriver. It feels really solid and almost as good as the original. I also have a second one in the kit in case…

Terrible fit, pre-punched screw holes are completely absent.

The picture above may look good at first glance, but this item fits absolutely horribly, at least on my 2012 Honda Civic Si key. As you can see in the picture I had to hammer this little piece of plastic onto the base of the actual key for about 30 minutes to at least align the screw holes properly, even then I couldn't align the holes properly because the preset-cut holes are complete out. When I screwed in the little black screw that comes with the kit I had to force it to screw in and in…

How to save $127 on a keychain

I read other reviews but ordered anyway. This product is great. Almost identical to the original, just without the logo. My kit included a spare screw and screwdriver. Multiple statements could be used, but it's obvious how to substitute things. The new shoulder is put on the old blade. Press your shoulder firmly to sit up fully. There is a small hole on one side of the shoulder. The screw goes in. Push the shoulder with recesses to the side and tighten the screw. Insert electronic module. Snap

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

This is just a case - you need to transfer the metal key and transponder chip - see below - plastic quality thin ( not thick like the original Honda case) and the bolt is also thinner - so let's look at durability. No instructions (see photo). I bought 2 previous ones from another seller who broke so I gave this seller a try after reading some tips from other buyers. Feels/looks like the same material but based on hints I actually got them close together (see photos). Tips: This is a case only…
