Description of Nobsound T12 Phono Preamp: turntable preamplifier, headphone amplifier for MM & MC with built-in RIAA

It is not only a phono preamp but also a headphone amplifier, and it supports both Moving Magnet (MM) and Moving Coil(MC) cartridges, you can achieve many functions with it. Exceptional signal-to-noise ratio and very low distortion bring high quality sound and make you feel the original audio. High-end design and making technology, mini compact size makes it convenient to be carried and full-metal casing feels texture. LINE OUTPUT will be auto off if the headphone jack is connected. Turntable GND cable must be connected to T12's GND jack, and the background noise can be greatly decreased if T12's GND jack is connected to the ground. T12 will not work well if your turntable has built-in preamp. Avoiding noise please keep T12 away from cellphones, routers and other signals. The sound will not loud if you MC cartridge is with low impedance and voltage output, it is more suitable for MC cartridge whose impedance is not less than 100Ω.

The preamp worked great on my turntable.

Preamp worked as described. The preamp was quiet and didn't buzz when turned on without a beep from the turntable. The amplifier worked well and amplified the input audio voltage from the magnetic cassette.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Doubtful

Make your CD sound like a wax roller recording

The sound from this preamplifier is distorted and your CD will sound like the first wax roller recordings. A few years ago I put together a preamp kit and the sound reproduction was accurate and clear. If you buy this you will regret it.

  • practical article

Been working 3 months now just buzzing

UPDATE: Been working 3 months now when I turn it on I get horrible feedback on my stereo (loud buzzing). I've checked grounding, tried multiple outlets, etc. Nothing seems to help. Worked great initially but is now outside my return window. will buy more expensive and reliable. Original post: Super easy. Connected and tried. Works as advertised. I once heard a loud hum when listening to a recording at about 90% volume on the unit (it suddenly started about halfway through), but turning the…

Good for volume controls and headphones - not great sound quality

I'm not a big music lover to begin with - I collect records and like things to sound halfway decent. Here are my thoughts. Pros: I bought this preamp because it was affordable, it had a volume control (I like being able to adjust the level of the phono stage with other components and also being able to control the level throughout the room). ) and because it had a headphone jack. I have a DAC/Amp (Douk Audio P1) on my desk and a TT across the room. Sometimes I like to sit in front of my…

  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
