Works great with my DAC

Thought I'd give it a try because my DAC wasn't expecting much for only $30 but damn I was wrong, they actually isolate very well I think because I A tube did the output stage of my DAC, so the less vibration the better the sound, and that's exactly what I'm getting here.

Perfect for isolating my turntable's vibration

I was having problems with my Klipsch Forte III speakers missing my turntable. I put them on the turntable's feet and now I can jump in front of the turntable without missing it. I removed 4 of the 7 feathers from each leg. I use a Yamaha TT-S303 turntable.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Some bugs

Works well but is LOUD

These devices insulate components very well against vibrations. Their only downside is that the springs are VERY noisy when moving. Admittedly, the noise doesn't appear very often, but when it does, it's very annoying. Stereo accessories should NEVER make their own noise. A quick fix for me was to wrap a layer of teflon tape around each spring. These little pucks are quiet now.

Pros
  • Everything is great!

not ideal for turntables

Any combination of springs and mass resonates at a specific frequency. The spring rate for these feet can be reduced by removing the springs, but they resonate with the mass of the platter at a frequency high enough to disrupt record playback. Removing the springs or adding mass to lower that frequency will cause the springs to drop (full compression) until the resonant frequency is adequately reduced. Instead, I use these feet under a PC whose fan sends vibrations to the turntable.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some little things

They changed things

I bought these to put under my CD player but thought I could experiment a little. I have no problem using brass cones under the preamp. I tried the nobsound under the preamp with all the springs. My preamp is Modwright 9 swl. Something happened. I then reduced the number of springs to three per unit. This made the sound of the preamp warmer. Bass has increased a bit, but it's noticeable. I wasn't interested. I put the cones back and placed Nobsounds under the CD player. The same was done withโ€ฆ
