Peace and quiet at last

I have an old car that I revived from a junkyard in my office after a user complained about a noisy fan. I was told I could take it if I wanted, so I replaced the old 120mm fan that came with the case with this quiet one. All I can say is that I haven't heard that it worked, even if nothing worked. It's a low whisper, and I can only assume it will stay that way. Too bad that the computer was ruined for the price of a fan and a little know-how.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Only available in black

Powerful and beautiful. I like matte gray

Powerful and beautiful. I like matte grays, although I rarely see them. I connected them to a Fractal Design Define R5, 2 on the front, one on the bottom and one on the side. Definitely more powerful than the stock fans that came with the kit, though. Strangely, regular fans are quieter in the front, and these are quieter from the bottom and the side. The air flow of the standard fans in combination with the front grilles is a bit strange. Who knows, I'm no expert on airflow and sound…

Pros
  • Great for me

Becomes loud after 30 minutes under heavy load

Bought this fan for Goodisory S200 Matx cases (also bought here). I installed two 120mm Noctua Redux 900 and these 140mm in the case. In a cold case, all fans were silent. After 30 minutes of intense gaming, with the case getting hot and the fan running at 100%, this 140mm fan started making very loud clicks. Two 120-mm were still barely audible. With a decrease in load, 140 mm fell silent. I mainly use this PC for high performance gaming so I had to replace that 140 fan with another 120 inch…

A quality bargain for the price

I've always heard Noctua have big fans but unfortunately the odd color choice has always put me off and made them look cheap. However, I needed to replace some case fans, so I gave them a try and they didn't disappoint. They feel great and are quiet for the amount of air they pump. The packaging was of good quality too. Not that it matters but I thought my order had been mixed up when I saw the boxes they came in. I think it's just a nice gesture. The only criticism is the short cables. Luckily

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Good but not great

What you need to know, not what you don't know! Pros: Moves air very well. The 140mm design is great. Cons: 1. You can't use it much above 50-60% RPM (600-700 RPM) because it's so noisy. NOT A QUIET FAN! If you want quiet, choose a brown PWM fan. Much better. 2. The screws are too big for the corner holes and will tear off the plastic when you screw them in, making them USED and IMPOSSIBLE. If you try this fan, try a different one or don't use screws.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Not bad but...

The best and quietest fan for my Corsair H600

These are the best and quietest fans I've ever installed in a PC case. After installing them I had to check if they were spinning. My old fans in the original housing became very noisy after 5 years and were the perfect replacement solution. They fit into the vent on the back of the case and I added another one on top to let the air out. I put another in front of it to suck in air as well. Removing the old fan from the front of the H600 wasn't easy, but I managed it. Thanks to the smaller form…

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • It's OK

Very good, but Fantex is just as good

Very, very good. Got it to replace the original Fractal case fan that started vibrating and dying at the age of 3. The design quality is high: MTBF is 4 times higher than Fractal! Construction, airflow and noise levels conform to published specifications. Supplied in an extravagant box with 4 screws. I'm deducting 1 star because I also recently got the Phanteks PH-F140SP, which has almost identical specs, more or less the same price, but comes with anti-vibration pads out of the box, while…

The perfect fan! - Computer and accessories

Like many others, I love Noctua! I've been refurbishing a few computers lately for a general upgrade and one of the requests I had was a new internal PSU fan for my loudly ticking OCZ 1000W PSU. After disassembling the PSU, I found that it was a standard 140mm fan with a 2-pin connector. I had a Noctua NA-AC2 adapter that converted this product's 3 pin cable to the required 2 pin cable and now my power supply is almost silent. Love it.

Pros
  • I like everything so far
Cons
  • No insurance

You are not BROWN!

Well to assemble they went in very easily and quietly. And as the name suggests, they are not BROWN! I've only heard good things from NOCTUA fans, I was just appalled by the brown color.

Pros
  • Pretty package
Cons
  • thin
