just what i needed. and at a great price

First of all, Noctua is a reliable brand, but these adapters really helped a few fans who didn't read my motherboard. and worked to the fullest, my radiator making a terrible noise. Not to mention CPU errors and blue screens. With these adapters, the fans are now quiet and keep my CPU at around 30C. Should have just gone with the Noctua fans.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • No power

There is less noise, the processor is still cold.

Arrived today and immediately installed one on the CPU fan. I have an FX-4300 with a stock FX-8350 cooler. My Gigabyte GA78LMT-USB3 MoBo BIOS didn't allow fan speed adjustment and I didn't want to mess with an external fan controller so I gave it a try. Now the computer is much quieter and my CPU temp is still around 30 under load and 20-20 when idle. Now I can't complain because my computer doesn't sound like it's getting ready to take off from a runway.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Functionality

Excellent way to reduce the speed and noise of 4-wire PWM fans

Reduces fan speed and therefore fan noise by inserting a resistor in series with the power cable of 4-wire PWM fans. Plug and play with extremely high processing quality to match the accessories from Noctua, the manufacturer of high-quality fans.

Pros
  • Qualified
Cons
  • Update available

They work! Best A/V Accessory in Category

They do what they say they do, are easy to install and reasonably priced. I only deducted one star because they only offer 3 packages. It would be nice to have an even number so I don't have to buy 6 for a 4 fan PC.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • I'll get back to you

Works well with voltage regulators and PWM.

These low noise adapters reduce the fan speed by the percentage it rotates. If the fan normally spins at 1000rpm, it spins at around 800rpm instead. This means they can be very useful even when using PWM/voltage control. Just make sure your fan curve isn't so low that it won't start, as all fans need a minimum voltage to run, higher quality fans usually need less voltage than lower quality fans. Also, they're pretty tough. , you may need an extension cord for proper routing.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • There are downsides

Very effective in reducing fan speed and noise level

I upgraded the CPU cooler to CoolerMaster Hyper 212 LED in a prebuilt PC, but on the OEM motherboard the fan ran at a higher speed if necessary. Because the Hyper 212 had a much larger fan and heatsink than the stock cooler, it could run much slower than the stock cooler and have the same cooling potential, but there were no fan control options on the OEM motherboard. The high fan speeds generated a lot of noise that got annoying very quickly. Installing one of these adds resistance to the fan…

Pros
  • Not only useful for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

Excellent product and expected quality

I am a big fan of Noctua and they are no exception. They have 50 ohms. The reality is that every motherboard/configuration/fan is slightly different under different loads. You can connect the fans directly to a 12V power supply or via the mainboard connector. Since it's a 4-pin adapter, there's no point in using it with anything other than a 4-pin motherboard header and a PWM-controlled fan. Different motherboard manufacturers implement different speed logic (or none at all) on their…

Pros
  • Low noise adapters for speed reduction and noise reduction of PC fans
Cons
  • boring packaging
