Very quiet and glad a low speed adapter cable is included.

I really liked this fan and bought two to replace a couple of failed system fans in my PC case. Without a noise filter in place (essentially they added a resistor to drop the DC voltage), the fans ran too fast and we were noticeably noisy. Just understand that while 3-pin fans can be connected to the 4-pin headers of the mobo, they can't be controlled via PVM, only DC. For me I needed quiet system fans as I don't play games and my rig doesn't usually get hot so the low voltage adapter cables…

  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Possibly the best fans

We have several Noctua fans in our computers and a few other items around our house. I remain a big fan of these fans! Other computer fan brands have improved a lot in the last 10-15 years, but Noctua fans are the best in my opinion.

Super Quiet!: Internal Components

I mainly used it to make a DIY cooling pad for some of my network equipment, and noise was an important factor for me, so I chose this fan. With the low-noise adapter installed, you can barely hear the fan even if you put your head next to it! It still moves enough air. Highly recommended if you need quiet and low/moderate airflow.

Pros
  • Comfortable to Use
Cons
  • Damaged

Nice fan, but needs a higher voltage to operate.

Big fan. I had an issue with the fan not fully spinning on my system. Had to increase the DC voltage to 9+ before it could put itself into a spin cycle. This means I can't run it in "Ultra Low Noise" mode, but the fan is very quiet even at full speed.

Noctua premium fans for a really quiet system. Great fan.

This review is short. I ordered this to keep my cable box (HD-DVR) from malfunctioning. I noticed that it gets quite hot, so I grabbed the CPU fan on the wimp and tried placing it on top of the device. It cooled the box well, but the noise was ridiculous. But the box started working fine without the need for frequent reboots. So I searched and searched for a silent fan. Despite being larger than I thought I would need, I went with this device. It comes in a nice box with lots of extras. I…

Shouldn't it be spinning from day one?

I had to start this with a screwdriver like I thought and now I just don't want to. Every time I see it, it annoys me. I had to take out the CPU fan to install it, so I didn't do it a second time. Check before you install, and yes it shouldn't be if you get one that's lame. so stupid.

I replaced two 140mm Corsair fans with these same size Noctua fans. When I turned on the computer I really thought I forgot to plug them in. The tempos are about the same, but a seriously low whisper. I also use a Noctua NH-D15 cooler and am very impressed with the brand.

  • Dope 🔥

He does what the fans do, good blow or suck.

Back in 2012 I built my own computer. I chose a Corsair case with 200mm fans which are only 25mm thick compared to regular 30mm fans. When the top fan failed, I couldn't find a fan that was thin enough to fit in the available space. Corsair tech support told me they don't have a replacement fan. Noctua was a great replacement.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Speed

Noctua fans are the gold standard when it comes to high performance, high quality and low noise. While the color scheme isn't perfect, I've happily included them in every build because they're so quiet and I hate fan noise so much. I currently have 2 Noctua fans in the front intake, 1 fan in the back and 2 on the water cooling heatsink. Before the changes, my computer was unbearably loud at boot, and after the fan profiles were turned on, I still had to turn on music or something to drown out…
