🌙 Noctua NH-D14: Deluxe CPU Cooler with Dual NF-P14 PWM and NF-P12 PWM Fans (Brown) Review

First, my heatsink died while playing games. My computer has overheated and shut down. Pretty scary night. I read some reviews and ordered this Noctua radiator asap. Revain was on my doorstep 8 hours later! Absolutely insane. Thank you Revain for saving my day as I mainly use my computer for work related tasks and needed to get it up and running asap. This radiator really is a beast. I recommend anyone interested in buying one to measure their case first as this thing is about 1mm from the case

When I took it out of the box I was VERY concerned that it would fit in my system. I bought this to replace the stock fan on my 4790k. I had some serious temperature issues when using TurboBoost (up to 4.4GHz) and maxing out the processor at almost 100% at 1,260V. I reached temperatures of up to 95°C, which I immediately stopped charging to avoid serious damage. Needless to say, a standard cooler is NOT a practical solution for operating at such high frequencies and voltages. Great product. There is a free memory warning, I found the correct fan, sits on my GSkill TridentZ, which is not a problem as you put the fan after the cooler. With the cooler in place, insert the fan and it sits on top of the memory, about 1/4 inch higher than intended, but the clip is so cool, it snaps anywhere, it snaps right there.
