OK. (Updated) - Thermal Compound and Gaskets

I wanted to try it, it's exactly the same temperatures as my GC Extreme and Chill Factor III I've used before. The moral of the story is that all high quality pastes seem to be within each other's margin of error. Choose what makes sense for your budget, apply it right, and you're good to go. Also, don't follow the instructions for the app on Ryzen. This amount of paste will be scattered everywhere. I wanted to keep an open mind and try, well I ended up getting confused even trying to make the…

Works great wipes!

I decided to buy this pack because it had a lot of thermal paste and I loved the cleaning wipes. This NT-H2 mix works as it should, definitely a good MX-4/Arctic Silver 5 alternative. I've had excellent idle/load rates on both the i3 and 3600x. Napkins are a great idea! They may look like isopropyl alcohol wipes, but they do an excellent job of removing/cleaning thermal paste. I've wanted an arctic cleanse or a bottle of 99% alcohol for a long time, but wipes are so much more convenient…

  • Best in the niche
Cons

Very high quality in every way

Improved version of NT-H1. Easy to apply, easy to remove, non-conductive and very powerful. In the test it is on par with the Grizzly Kryonaut and the Gelid GC-Extreme. To do anything significantly better, you need to use conductive metal heat transfer fluids like Conductonaut. This is a much higher risk of failure and much more difficult to manage, costing nothing but extreme overclocking applications. I can't give a temperature comparison because I didn't use the material sent to my Contac…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction

  • Annoying

Disappointing heat treatment results

My replacement Arctic Silver 5 paste outperformed this paste and that speaks volumes. I'd like to invest in Kryonaut instead, which is my usual CPU/GPU solution. I decided to give Noctua a try and while I agree with many people that Noctua is a great cooling brand, particularly their case and heatsink fans, this paste just didn't meet my minimum expectations. Overclocked to 5GHz on my 9900K @ 1.27 vw/ and a load line calibrated to 62.5% (LLC3 in MSI UEFI) this paste ran for about 35 seconds at…

  • Delivery was very quick

The most boring thermal paste ever. But it is good!

So I bought this to re-glue my 9700k with a Corsair h115i platinum cooler. I felt that in a few years I might be able to keep the temperature a few degrees lower than with the pre-applied paste. That's why I ordered this noctua nt-h2 paste because it's a decent price but more importantly no complaints. about fakes or inconsistencies! Of course I got exactly what I expected. Box of napkins and a tube of light gray toothpaste. Its consistency is exactly the same as any paste I've used in the past

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • poorly thought out

10900KF Spicy boi happy

The name says it all. The paste spreads well, excellent quality, mostly 1-3 degrees difference to the Corsair XTM50 thermal paste, but mostly outside the error limit. NO LONGER. Lots of complaints about "not working at face value" 9/10 times overused. For the science, I specifically used a thermal paste applicator and too much paste (the amount you would use for toothpaste is 3-4 times the recommended amount) and lo and behold, a 1-3 degree difference became a 5-10 degree difference. The point…

cool cooler for computers and accessories

have been using Artic for so long simply because it was my "famous" thermal compound. I got this for fun, to restore some old machines I have lying around and for my new build. So far I've only used this on my socket 939 ja 939 fxa990-gd65 running on a court fx-8350. The processor idled at 57-60 with Artic 4. I'm sitting idle at 47C. Note that this is an old, power-hungry hot chip that lacks thermal efficiency compared to today's processors. so it's a win. I look forward to upgrading all my…
