I just finished the entire tailgate on my jeep. Haven't ridden it yet but I can tell you that now the knocking when closing the door is gone. This material works wonders with surface resonance. I bought a small amount to try out and can say I would happily buy more to cover more interior surface area, reduce road noise and make my tunes a little better. I was hoping this would help reduce the motor noise on my treadmill. I only tested the decibel levels with the engine running at 3, 6 and 9 mph. The running belt was removed for testing. After completely wrapping the inside of the engine cover, I checked the decibel level again. Results: 3 dB reduction at 3 mph, 1.5 dB reduction at 6 mph and 1 dB reduction at 9 mph. I was hoping for better results, especially at 6 mph.

I purchased this item to potentially reduce my trunk rattle. Also to make my bass a bit tighter. Since this is my first time using it, I have to say that it was very easy to use. Once you've made a few pieces, you'll definitely get the hang of it. I would also suggest buying a curling tool sold separately to smooth it out. Otherwise great product for the price. FYI, this adds weight to the trunk and is very noticeable when opening and closing.

It made my doors sound less like tin cans and sounded more solid. So my door went stiffer to eliminate the tin can sound when the bass hits. Don't get me wrong, this stuff is for simple stiffening applications, not external soundproofing. You need a much thicker material that adds insane weight to your car. For the price I got exactly what I needed and that was the elimination of a tin can rattle.
