Excellent Devices: Camera&Photo

Effective; was able to lift both my Olympus and GoPro to the surface. However, these are fairly large loops. As such, when diving, there is no way to tighten the strap on my wrist, so I was worried it would accidentally come loose. I ended up removing the floating loop from my wrist and attaching the thin camera strap to my wrist. (The photo shows me photographing at about 50ft depth with a GoPro attached to the floats.) I don't know how to fix this or if it's possible with this type of design,

Great product (the best I've found) and a wonderful company to buy at

I was very pleased with the design and looks, quality and professionalism of the product. It's handy to pack two straps as some cameras are too heavy for one strap and I have a spare in case my granddaughter loses one. An added benefit of this company is tracking. I had to return the straps as the camera I bought them for broke. They followed him to find out what the problem was. When I told them, they responded politely, indicating that they had read everything I had written. VERY PROFESSIONAL

Perfect fit for my Garmin GPSMAP 64 and Garmin Virb Elite.

I ordered them to protect Garmin GPSMAP 64 and Garmin Virb Elite. I tested both Garmins in a water-filled trash can. Each element was successfully placed by a swimmer. In each case, about half of the float's loop was sticking out of the water, which would have made the item more visible if it had ever eluded me in the water. Exactly what I was looking for. Also included was a pair of traditional wrist straps; Maybe it's just a lucky bonus since the product description says you'll get one ofโ€ฆ

Failed. Lost phone best in bags and cases

When it was attached to my phone. Put it in the water one last time to test it before you try something stupid (kayaking). And yes, I tested it at home, felt halfway adequate. Should have heeded the warning signs. It looks like my phone couldn't handle the weight so I picked it up and decided to secure my phone some other way. As I did so, my $1,250 phone spontaneously fell off the stupid little latch and sank into the ocean. The clasp is horribly designed on closer inspection and I wouldn'tโ€ฆ

Works great to levitate a bit on a heavy phone branding

This worked great to levitate on my iPhone X in a waterproof case. Guaranteed I won't lose my phone even if I leave it while surfing for $1,000. The float snaps in and out easily, so you don't have to take it out of the case or refill the small retainer every time you want to use it out of the water. But that click is nice and strong, so you can rest assured that you're taking your phone into the surf and it won't just snap off your wrist. One star off because the branding is insanely big andโ€ฆ

Calculate Underwater Weight

I didn't know if this would work for me because it's for cameras up to 7 ounces or 200 grams. My Olympus TG-5 weighed 258g (9.1 ounces) but I decided to take the risk by calculating the weight underwater, which is really important for a floating camera. I measured the volume of the chamber by placing it in a measuring cup and filling it to 1 liter. I took out the chamber and the level dropped to 800ml so the chamber displaced 200ml. From this I calculated the weight under water = 258 g - 200 ml

Pros
  • Easy to Use
Cons
  • Tradable
