Effective; was able to lift both my Olympus and GoPro to the surface. However, these are fairly large loops. As such, when diving, there is no way to tighten the strap on my wrist, so I was worried it would accidentally come loose. I ended up removing the floating loop from my wrist and attaching the thin camera strap to my wrist. (The photo shows me photographing at about 50ft depth with a GoPro attached to the floats.) I don't know how to fix this or if it's possible with this type of design, but it would be more convenient to have some extra security.
