Measure your plate carefully! I only have two dinner plates that will fit and they measure 10 1/4". The diameter of the top of the stacker is 11 inches, but the area between the legs is smaller. The rest is well done. There must be many smaller microwaves than ours because ours could accommodate a much larger leg span. I wish Nordic Ware had a slightly larger version. Aren't most dinner plates larger than 10 1/4 inches now? Disappointing.

This is an amazing product. Very easy to use and clean. Does its job very well by being able to heat two plates at the same time so neither has to cool down while the other heats up as we should have done before finding this product. The only reason it's not 5 stars for me is that it's too small to allow me to use some of my plates. These are not unusually large dinner plates, just larger than some of mine. My husband and I love this double decker for reheating leftovers, two plates at a time. We've found that you need to rotate the plates to ensure everything heats up evenly. So switch from the bottom plate to the top plate about halfway through the heating time. We learned the hard way that you CANNOT microwave a bag of popcorn on the stacker.
