Garbage isn't worth it.

Yes I have that because of Elton Brown too. It broke after my 5th cake. The problem with the slicer is the lack of a black fold-out bottom to complete the slicing. The slicer gets almost to the end of the cut, then hits the bottom and you're stuck with the apple on the slicer, which isn't quite done yet, as you try to get your slices out and not break them. Take a closer look, there is a red slicer with a lower part that works much better.

Too Many Wedges: Fruit and Vegetable Tools

I never paid attention to the number of wedges when purchasing this item. This one cuts 12 wedges making it difficult for my wife and daughter to cut them. I don't have a problem with it, but you can feel the "tight" fit when cutting. My wife has now bought one with only 8 edges and can use it very well, as can my daughter. However, it works. done, but can be stressful for shorter people (my wife is a proud 1.50 m tall :)

I like small slices but I can hardly squeeze

I love this product for small apple slices more suitable for children. The problem is that the "cutting edges" aren't sharp and obviously there are a lot of them - making it almost impossible for a child to use and difficult for an adult to control. I often don't make a clean, straight cut because I have to push (lean) so hard that I can't control the cut. This causes it to be cut at an angle and I end up with a bunch of "core" on half the pieces and then lots of extra small pieces on the other
