Lots of fun making the first batch of beer. The instructions are super easy. Just follow the instructions and it will work. The set comes with 12 bottles but I only received 9 bottles from my 1 gallon batch which internet says is fine for a gallon of homebrew. Beer is good too!

Great gift idea. I opened the package to see if any of the glass items were broken - IT WAS NOT. They came in perfect condition, in the box there is everything a person could need. From beer bottles and glasses to the beer brewing set itself. I can't say anything about the taste and ease of use yet, but I'll let you know as soon as the birthday child tries to brew beer.

I bought this set as a New Year's gift for my husband. Being new to brewing, he ran into some issues and emailed the company. The company helped him promptly in all phases. When something went wrong (since he was just learning how to brew beer), the company stepped in immediately and sent the goods so he could try again for free. I followed all directions carefully and the yeast seemed to move the beer for the first 2 days and then died straight away so not sure if the yeast was generally good . There was also an issue with sealing the glass jar so it wouldn't stop leaking, but luckily I had another jar that I could sterilize and use instead. As a first-time experimenter who follows the instructions well, I am extremely disappointed and most likely will not try again. waste of money.

The ingredients in this kit are excellent and arrive perfectly fresh. Bottles, caps and sanitizers also work very well. The instructions are very clear and understandable.
